There are two spiritual kingdoms; the Kingdom of God, and the dominion of darkness. Each of these two kingdoms have their own king: God is King over His kingdom, and the devil over the dominion of darkness. We all have the freedom to choose which kingdom we want to be part of: an important decision that everyone of us makes for ourselves.
